Business & Technology Committee

AJC's Business and Technology committee works to foster close ties between local businesses and the AJC and develops future community leaders by implementing programs featuring important local business leaders. The programs are also designed to give chapter members the opportunity to network in an informal setting.

As part of the Business and Technology committee's outreach to Bay Area young professionals as well as established leaders, for the last fifteen years the committee has sponsored a speakers forum. Past speakers have included: David Pottruck, Co-President, Charles Schwab & Co., Mickey Drexler, President of Gap, Inc., George Zimmer, Founder and CEO of The Men's Wearhouse, Dr. Karen Bernstein, Co-Founder, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of BioCentury Publications, Inc., Gary Schlossberg, Vice President and Senior Economist Wells Fargo, Jan Wahl, KRON Movie Critic, Ruth Owades, President and CEO of Calyx & Corolla and an Internet Panel moderated by Craig Newmark, Founder of Craigslist.
